Nenê Trio
Musicians with the verve of Realcino Lima Filho, aka Nenê, will always be celebrated for the importance of their work. He is worldwide renowned not only for his talent and the uniqueness of his drum playing, but also for his work as a composer, arranger and educator. This “Gaucho” (born in Porto Alegre – south of Brazil), builds incredible atmospheres in his compositions.
In addition to his awarded solo career, Nenê can boast the participation in a number of landmark Brazilian albums, such as “Sanfona” (1981) with Egberto Gismonti, for the ECM label, “Ao vivo em Montreaux” (1979) with Hermeto Pascoal, “Clube da Esquina 2” (1978) with Milton Nascimento, and “Falso Brilhante” (1976), with Elis Regina.
Today he leads Alberto Luccas (bass) and Irio Jr. (piano) in Nenê Trio.
